Our process
Four steps to clarity
Supportive, paced steps so you know what will happen and when.
1. Pre-assessment session
-
The psychologist will meet with you to discuss the process, gather background information and answer any questions.
This may include exploring developmental history, current challenges and strengths.
Following this session, you will be provided with an obligation-free quotation for the full assessment.
2. Assessment
-
The psychologist will administer assessment tools with you over one or more sessions, depending on your needs and goals.
These may include clinical interview, cognitive testing or observational measures.
You will be asked to complete standardised questionnaires and to nominate someone who knows you well to provide additional information.
3. Interpretation
-
The psychologist will explore the diagnostic criteria and review the information gathered during the assessment.
They will consider what the results mean for you, including strengths, differences and support needs.
This process may take several weeks depending on the complexity of the assessment.
4. Report and feedback session
-
You will be provided with a comprehensive report summarising the assessment findings.
The psychologist will meet with you to discuss the results, answer questions and provide guidance on next steps.
This may include recommendations for supports, accommodations or referrals to other services
